The Kansas Masonic Cancer Research Institute (KMCRI) funds eight
pilot projects per year (four in Fall and four in the Spring)
and one excellence in research pilot projects in the fall. All
University of Kansas Cancer Center members are encouraged to
apply. Pilot projects provide initial funding ($35,000 per project)
for cancer-specific projects that contain a translational component
that prepares the investigator and their team to seek long-term
grant funding from the National Cancer Institute.
Applications for the 2008 Spring Pilot Project Funding grant
cycle will open in February 2008. Applications must have
a minimum of two principle investigators, one of which must be
a Full KUCC member.
